General Directorate of Traffic DGT 3.0

DGT 3.0, the vehicle platform connected to the General Directorate of Traffic

DGT 3.0 is the platform of the General Directorate of Traffic Who facilitates the interconnection of all the actors that are part of the mobility ecosystem - car manufacturers, navigation service providers, mobility applications, city halls, public transport platforms, fleet management systems, etc. - to offer real-time traffic information to road users at all times, for safer and smarter mobility. The objective of the DGT 3.0 platform is to have and share in real time information on the different events (or use cases) that occur on the national road network. To this end, the General Directorate of Traffic has spent years developing an intermediary technological platform called the Internet of Things (IOT) between the actors and the end user. Its main function is to use traffic lanes and connect them anonymously both to provide valuable information to the connected community and to consume this same information in order to detect and be informed of dangerous situations that may arise during our mobility on the road.
